SEASONS GREETINGS

Wherever you are, however you celebrate, we hope you enjoy this holiday season.

As we look back at 2020 and the global upheaval caused by COVID 19, we are optimistic about what 2021 will bring.  With a growing membership, new alliances and increasing interest in how to account for the blend of social, financial and environmental impact across organizations, we look forward to many meaningful collaborations in 2021, and beyond.

CAPITALS COALITION PILOT TO LAUNCH IN CANADA

The Social and Human Capital Coalition is an international collaboration putting people and society at the heart of decision making.

As the practice of measuring social impacts and dependencies evolves and gains momentum, companies are increasingly calling for a harmonized approach to measure and value their interactions with people and society.

The Social and Human Capital Protocol is a decision making framework that enables organizations to identify, measure and value their direct and indirect impacts and dependencies on social and human capital.

A Canadian CapsCol pilot will be launched in early 2021. As Social Value International is a global CapsCol advisor, SVC is a founding director for the Canadian initiative. Click here to read the protocol. Contact Stephanie for more information or to get involved.

VALUE BALANCING ALLIANCE TO LAUNCH CANADIAN PILOT

The Value Balancing Alliance e.V is a non-profit organization with the ambition to change the way how company performance is measured and valued.

The alliance’s objective is to create a global impact measurement standard for disclosing positive and negative impacts of corporate activity and to provide guidance on how these impacts can be integrated into business steering.

As strategic partner of both the Capitals Coalition and Social Value International, Social Value Canada looks forward to support the Canadian VBA launch in February 2021. Gather more information here.

NON PROFIT / CHARITABLE / SOCIAL ENTERPRISE TRAINING

In recognition of essential work and the impact of COVID 19 upon many organizations, Social Value Canada is offering two pro bono seats in each it’s 2021 SROI / social value training cohorts (February, April, July, November) to non profit, charitable and social enterprises applicants across Canada.

The SVC network strongly believes that the work of non-profit/charitable and social enterprise organizations Canadian will be core to the foundation for how we #buildbackbetter. At the same time, it will be increasingly essential that all are able to demonstrate the social value linked to organisational outcomes.
