Social Value Thinking and the SDG’s

Global leaders met at the 76th session of the UN General Assembly to discuss the transformation and restoration needed to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement.

Did you know the ways that the social value movement is supporting the achievement of the SDGs? This stems from the intersection between achieving the SDG 2030 goals and the global social value’s mission to change the way the world accounts for value. Changing how we account for value will change how we decide to act and to allocate resources, which will in turn address inequality, protect people and lead to restoration of the planet.

Knowledge of the social value movement is just taking hold in Canada.  If you would like more information on social value thinking, involvement in Social Value Canada (and Social Value International by extension) and of the various tools to advance social value work, we look forward to hearing from you!
