Jordi Picas is the director of innovation at Suara Cooperative, a social economy company from Catalonia with more than 35 years of experience in the care for people sector. With more than 4,500 professionals, SUARA responds to care, assistance and educational needs of children and young people, families, people who require some kind of support to be more independent, and people who seek to overcome crisis situations or want to enter the labor market or improve professionally. It manages a wide range of services and equipment including residential facilities, day and night equipment, schools and educational centers, counselling services, prevention and support services, and home services. Its mission is to transform the social environment, improving the situation of people with quality services rooted in the region, and to promote their welfare and growth.
Jordi leads Suaralab, a laboratory for social innovation, which aims to transform ideas into projects while also incorporating technology into SUARA’s business.
